Ever since Google made their adsense units less clickable, my adsense revenue has dropped by almost 60%. So I have been on the lookout for alternatives to replace the lost income.
On 15 Jan, Pepperjam launched their affiliate network, PepperjamNetwork, which promises to revolutionize the way we do affiliate marketing. I signed up yesterday and was approved within 12 hours. Basically what they offer is a mashup between traditional affiliate marketing and adsense. In the words of Pepperjam’s CEO
Think about it - on CJ, Linkshare, ShareASale, Performics, Azoogle, and others you simply select a specific banner or specific text link for one merchant. You are limited to promoting one specific merchant per creative.
With PepperjamADS you create the ad widget. Your ad widget can contain ads from multiple merchants or any single merchant.
A short video tutorial on how to create your very own affiliate marketing widget
A sample of PepperjamAds I created
Looks promising? Now the downer… currently there are only 81 affiliate partners. Right now, I can only find 4 relevant partners for this blog: SEOmoz, Review Me, Text-Link-Ads and PepperjamNetwork itself.
I guess being a new player, more time is needed for them to build up the network. But you can get early in the game. Maybe they will be less stringent in approving your website at this moment, when they are recruiting affiliate marketers like yourself as many and as fast as possible. So submit your blog now! I no longer recommend PepperJamNetwork..

Hey Eric,
I just caught your post and thought I’d chime in with a relevant solution to your dilemma.
While AdSense and PJN certainly have their space in the market, I think we can both easily conclude that the last thing your audience would like to see is another ad.
We just took the wrapper off of RevResponse.com which allows publishers the capability to offer their audience free business and tech resources like free magazine subscriptions, white papers, software trials, and podcasts to name a few. Most importantly, publishers get paid each time someone requests one of these free resources. Payouts can range anywhere from $2.00 to $20.00 per action depending on the content.
Promotional vehicles are more comprehensive than the normal affiliate network and include, but are not limited to, widgets, dynamically driven content modules, email promotions, XML feeds, custom white labeled sites and so on.
I’d love to have you give us a go and offer your feedback.
Thanks!

Thank you.
So far I’ve earned $160 from this network. And they are adding more partners for publishers to market.
Unfortunately a few days back they email me and revoked my relationship with them (pepperjamnetwork). Meaning now i dun get $5 for new signups. I’m still able to market other partners though. Haven’t got a reply from them on the reason for revoking.
